《Editor’s Note: The spread of COVID-19 has brought significant changes to college campuses worldwide, forcing virtually all universities in South Korea to switch to online education. UNIST has been conducting non-face-to-face lectures since the first semester of 2020. However, with the recent decline in cases, many expect that campus life will soon return to normal. In order to help new students adapt to university life, the UNIST News Center and the Student Affairs Team plan to produce the ‘Welcome, First-Time at UNIST?’ series.》
Your voice! Strives for new challenges! We are UNISTATION, the official broadcasting station of UNIST!
UNISTATION manages school media and culture. In addition to filming school events and festivals, and making various sketch videos, we also produce promotional videos and participate in various contests.
Since 2021 we have been crowdfunding support for sanitary napkins and masks for disadvantaged youth overseas. To this end, we film promotional activities and run a video editing training program helping middle school students produce their own videos.
UNISTATION consists of 4 departments.
The Production Department is in charge of planning and directing various content. This is a great team to work with if you’re interested in conceiving video concepts and experiencing video directing.
Both the radio broadcasting and video narration are managed by the Announcer Department. If you want to provide the necessary voice for video and experience radio broadcasting, we recommend that you contact the Announcer Department.
The Camera Department is, of course, in charge of filming and recording video. Anyone interested in shooting videos and operating our camera gear will be a great fit for the Camera Department.
Video editors are encouraged to join the Editorial Department, where they can edit shots with professional software and bring our videos to life.
Anyone with interest and passion can apply to UNISTATION, no special talent or experience is required. Each department provides friendly mentoring with the necessary knowledge and skills.
