UNIST has launched a new homepage.
Its innovative design, easy accessibility to information, automatic re-sizing function according to the device screen sizes (a responsive web), a UNIST News Center for communication inside and outside UNIST are the main features of this new web site.
By applying the new UNIST UI(University Identity) to the web, it is putting out the elegant image of our university. Plus, trendy pictures everywhere on the webs add the same look and feel. One interesting thing in terms of design is that the banners of rectangular-shaped puzzle type on the main page change their places every time you open it.
Moreover, the whole pages are responsive, which means it is optimized for mobile environment. No matter what devices you may use, design and contents are adjusted and arranged automatically according to the screen sizes of users’ electric devices.
The information and content arrangement pattern is also innovative. The new overview section on each page such as ‘UNIST at a Glacne’ or ‘Education at a Glance’ provides the basic information about the topic of each page, thereby enabling users to seize information of UNIST at a glance. Furthermore, those submenus appear on many different pages so that users do not have to wander around to find them.
The UNIST News Center is another new edition of this homepage re-building project. It’s a magazine-type website, which manages all aspects of day-to-day media relations for research discoveries, UNIST news and stories, and upcoming events. In addition, the contents in UNIST News Center will be sent to users every week in the name of ‘UNIST Weekly’. Thus, people both inside and outside of UNIST can share UNIST news and communicate with one another.
A few sections of the web site are still being converted to the new design and you may experience unavailability, slowness, or other issue with the new website. If you have any suggestions, questions, concerns or comments about the new site, please let us know.
