The annual design exhibition, entitled Design Show UNIST 2021, kicked off this afternoon, featuring the artworks created by imminently graduating students within the Department of Design at UNIST.
Through this annual graduate exhibition, 9 undergraduate students in the Department of Design at UNIST will be showcasing their artworks under the theme of (p)review from November 17 to 21, 2021. The event also features special seminar series, inviting three renowned designers to deliver inspirational lectures online. These seminars will be held virtually, using Zoom technology. Speakers for this seminar series are Boram Noh (Senior Design Researcher, LG Electronics), Kaya Kim (Lead Designer of Software Innovation Center, Volkswagen AG), and Bongkyu Song (Founder/Design Director of BKID).
Due to the outbreak of COVID-19, an opening ceremony will not be held this year. Instead, the exhibition will be open to the public from 10 am to 6 pm on both weekdays and weekends. It will be held in a non-contact manner without a commentator, complying with quarantine guidelines set by the government (i.e., temperature checks or maintaining records of customers and visitors).
Meanwhile, the works exhibited at Design Show UNIST 2021 will also be available via ‘Design Chronicle’, a publication about the design process of every work, which is available on its online exhibition website.
