The School of New UNISTars organized a capacity-building workshop, aimed at enhancing the capabilities of the Campus Advisor (CA) mentors who will guide the Class of 2026. This program was designed to equip CA mentors with essential skills to help first-year students settle into university life smoothly and confidently.
This year’s workshop centered on leadership development, communication skills, and teamwork. Reflecting the core purpose of the CA system—helping freshmen establish positive connections with senior students—the training emphasized the foundational skills needed to support student adaptation.

Approximately 60 CA mentors participated in the full-day program, held at the Market Hall of Industry–University Cooperation Building on November 21, 2025. The event featured a leadership lecture, networking opportunities, hands-on team-building exercises, and discussions about the operational plans for the 2026 program. All activities were designed to be highly interactive, allowing mentors to develop practical skills that could be applied immediately.
The leadership session was delivered by CEO Ri Eun Kim of E YOU (Encourage YOUrself) Communication, who spoke on communication strategies grounded in mentorship and the importance of understanding one’s role as a mentor. This was followed by a team-building workshop, led by JunYoung Park, CEO of LET’s Teambuilding, focusing on collaboration and problem-solving. In the final segment, mentors worked in groups and individually to propose activity models and suggest new ideas for the upcoming year’s program, contributing to its refinement.

The School of New UNISTars anticipates that this workshop will elevate the professionalism and overall quality of the 2026 CA program. The active engagement and innovative suggestions from mentors are expected to serve as key drivers for the program’s success next year.
“More than a simple pre-activity training, this workshop provided an invaluable opportunity for mentors to learn from each other and collaborate,” said In Cheol Bang, Head of the School of New UNISTars. “Enhancing mentor capabilities will directly contribute to delivering a higher-quality support experience for our incoming students.”
