2015 UNIST Spring Festival: Wind and Wish

Students from all different majors packed into the Student Union Building on Friday for a music fest extravaganza to celebrate one of the UNIST’s most highly anticipated and welcomed campus events, the 2015 UNIST Spring Festival.

The 2015 UNIST Spring Festival, organized by UNIST Student Council, “Dong Haeng” is a two-day event, held from Friday, May 8 to Saturday, May 9, 2015.

The theme of this year’s Spring Festival is “Wind and Wish” where each of the Festival’s platforms serving as an invitation for students to express their youth, passion, and vitality at the festival, briefly escaping the daily life grind with a chance to relax and lef off steam.

The 2015 Spring Festival comprised of a series of cultural events, including a game of Yut-Nori, a traditional Korean game played on the festival of the Lunar New Year. In order to add some fun and laughter to the game, students were served as human yut sticks.

The festival started with “Moon Night” event, held at UNIST Student Union Building on Friday, May 8, 2015. Over the course of the event, students celebrated the eve of the festival with the music, played by UNIST Electonic Sensational Club (ESC).

The second day of the festival featured an assortment of activities, such as student booths, stage performances, live music, and busking to help ease the transition into college life. There was also a “Pray for Nepal” fundrasing campaign, dedicated to provide financial aid and relief to Nepal.
