UNIST is continuing its mission to share knowledge on brain sciences with the public this year.
On March 15, the university will host a public lecture series in celebration of Brain Awareness Week 2024 at Room U110 in the Natural Science Building of UNIST.
This special lecture series, organized to coincide with Brain Awareness Week 2024, will explore the theme ‘When Heartache Hits Your Brain: Exploring the Connection.’ The event will feature scholarly talks that shed light on current and ongoing research topics related to brain sciences, especially in neuroscience, cognitive science, and brain engineering.
Following the success of last year’s inaugural ‘Brain Awareness Week 2023‘ in Ulsan, this year’s event will feature professors from the Department of Biological Sciences and the Department of Biomedical Engineering at UNIST. These lectures are open to Ulsan citizens and anyone interested in attending, serving as a way for UNIST to interact with local communities and share the relevance of research to everyday life.
Brain Awareness Week is a global initiative that unites scientists, families, schools, and communities during the third week of March. With over 7,300 partners in 120 countries participating, the goal is to raise public awareness and understanding of the brain and brain research.
The event will kick off with an exploration of the intriguing link between ‘Being heartbroken‘ and ‘Real brain problems.’ Attendees can look forward to an engaging session that simplifies complex topics based on the latest research findings.
Scheduled from March 11 to 17, Brain Awareness Week 2024 is proudly sponsored by the Korean Society for Brain and Neural Sciences (KSBNS).
