“We are incredibly proud to have UNIST in our region.”
In the morning of September 26th, UNIST invited the residents of Ulju County to attend its annual public information session to thank the Ulju County and its residents for their endless support and interest in building UNIST, a world-class university specialized in science and technology.
This event was attended by 150 guests, including President MooJe Cho of UNIST, Gil-Bu Kang of National Assembly, the Mayor Jang Yul Shin of Ulju-gun, Chairman Chung Jae Cho of Ulju-gun Council, Vice Chairman Ryung Heo of Ulsan City Council, as well as the executive members of UNIST.
The event consists of a student-guided campus tour, followed by an informal MEET & GREET luncheon with UNIST students. Lasting approximately 30 minutes, the campus tour includes a visit to UNIST Museum, UNIST Central Research Facilities (UCRF), and a look at several academic facilities.
President Cho states, “Established in 2009, UNIST has really come a long way and our campus has changed so much over the past six years.” He countinues by saying, “A big thank you must go out for those who have helped us along the way to make UNIST, one of the country’s leading universities of science and technology.”
