UNIST Department of Design has announced that it will be holding the 8th Creative Design Engineering Competition. The competition has been scheduled to be held online for three days from December 27, 2021. Any college student interested in the convergence of design and engineering can participate. The application deadline is December 12, 2021.
This competition will be held under the theme of ‘Everyday Healthcare Service on Campus.’ The purpose of this competition is to design a healthcare service for university students for daily life on campus, from a design-engineering perspective.
For those students who wish to participate, may visit the homepage of UNIST’s Design Department (design.unist.ac.kr/ko) or use the QR registration code on the poster. To be eligible, students must be in their second year of university or higher. About 40 students will be selected to participate in the actual competition.

Three outstanding teams will be awarded. Each award winner will be given privileges when applying to the UNIST Graduate School of Design-Engineering Convergence. There is no participation fee, and certificates and souvenirs will be provided to all participants after the competition
For those who are interested in the convergence of design and engineering, the competition will also feature other programs, including the creative design workshop, mentoring programs for the purpose of career development, as well as hands-on education experience for UNIST Design-Engineering Convergence Program.
Meanwhile, UNIST’s Design Department conducts education and research to develop creative products and systems that will change future life through multidisciplinary convergence of design and engineering technology. Marking the 8th anniversary of its foundation this year, the Creative Design Engineering Competition aims to provide mentoring services for students who are interested in the convergence of design and engineering and help them map out their future.
