UNIST has announced that it has once again achieved the highest grade of A in the 2023 self-audit activity review and evaluation conducted by the Board of Audit and Inspection. This marks the second consecutive year for UNIST to receive this recognition, highlighting its ongoing efforts to foster a culture of integrity and combat corruption.
According to the results, released by the Board of Audit and Inspection, UNIST not only maintained its top ranking among major science and technology institutes but also secured second place overall out of 93 public institutions in the newly introduced ranking evaluation. Additionally, UNIST holds first place among other public institutions under the Ministry of Science and ICT.
The review and evaluation process assesses self-audit activities carried out by government entities and public institutions with an aim to enhance their internal audit systems as well as national audit capabilities. In this assessment, UNIST received commendable scores in areas such as institutional willpower, audit activities, and institutional improvement. The university’s proactive measures in strengthening internal control capabilities, risk prevention systems, and demonstrating unwavering commitment to integrity contributed significantly towards establishing a foundation for sustainable growth while fostering a clean organizational culture.
