The Department of Biological Sciences at UNIST has announced the appointment of its graduate as an assistant professor at Inje University. Hansol Kim (Advisor: Professor Sebyung Kang) is an alumnus who has recently been appointed to a faculty position.
Dr. Hansol Kim obtained his Ph.D. in February 2020 under the mentorship of Professor Sebyung Kang in the Department of Biological Sciences at UNIST. After that, he worked as a postdoctoral researcher at UNIST and UC Berkeley, respectively. Dr. Kim is about to begin his new career as an assistant professor in the Department of Pharmaceutical Engineering at Inje University, beginning March 2022.
“The Department of Pharmaceutical Engineering at Inje University aims to provide graduates with skills and tools to be innovative, competent, contributing engineers in the pharmaceutical industry,” says Dr. Kim. “In line with the COVID pandemic, there is high demand for bio and pharmaceutical personnel related to the development of new drugs. In such situations, I will make my utmost effort to cultivate the next generation of bio-talents.”
He adds, “At Inje University, I also plan on expanding the drug delivery research that I carried out during my school years at UNIST, along with the overseas experience that I gained during the research on the development of new vaccines, thereby undertaking research that is applicable to the bio-industry.
