UNIST Blockchain Research Center enters into a strategic partnership with Bithumb, one of South Korea’s largest cryptocurrency exchanges.
On September 2, the crypto exchange said it has signed a memorandum of understanding (MOU) with UNIST Blockchain Research Center for technology transfer.
In the memorandum of understanding, the two organizations have pledged cooperation for the development of mutual tactics for the blockchain ecosystem, as well as for the enhancement of virtual asset transactions environments.
Under this partnership, both parties will share a blockchain-based business strategy. This includes knowledge sharing and service advice. The two sides also agreed to carry out collaborative industry-university research in the following areas: ▲ Analysis of virtual currency trading processes based on process mining, ▲ System stability improvement, and ▲ Clustering analysis based on time-series characteristics of virtual currency. They also plan on nurturing talents in cooperation with UNIST’s Blockchain Research Center, which leads research on the blockchain industry technology.
Due to the current COVID context, the signing ceremony of the Memorandum of Understanding (MoU) between UNIST Blockchain Research Center and Bithumb Korea took remotely through a virtual video conferencing platform. The agreement will last for about one year. Notably, starting from last month to August next year. The parties would discuss in the future in case of renewal.
The ceremony has been attended by Director Marco Comuzzi of UNIST Blockchain Research Center, CTO Yong Woon Ahn of Bithumb.
