Over the past week, UNIST campus came alive with the vibrancy of spring during the ‘UNI-Blossom Week,’ held from March 31 to April 8, 2025. Organized by the UNIST General Affairs Team, this initiative aimed to foster communication and connection among campus members.

The events took place along the picturesque cherry blossom-lined paths in front of the UNIST Engineering Buildings, providing a delightful backdrop for the celebrations. Activities included a photo zone specifically designed for capturing memories among the blossoms, an integrity-themed roulette, free picnic mat rentals, food trucks, and a special open radio segment from the UNISTATION, offering the UNIST community a multitude of engaging experiences.

Particularly popular was the open radio, which encouraged significant participation and offered a memorable experience for attendees. The picnic mat rentals also received enthusiastic responses from students and staff alike.
Hye Jin Yeo, a member of the General Affairs Team, remarked, “Participation rates and overall satisfaction exceeded our expectations for the week. We felt a strengthened sense of community among members throughout this festival.”

One student who rented a picnic mat shared, “I was able to forget about the stresses of everyday life, even if just for a moment, in the warmth of spring.” Another student expressed their hope for more such events in the future, highlighting their anticipation for UNIST’s unique campus culture.

The ‘UNI-Blossom Week‘ provided a wonderful opportunity for campus members to connect and engage with one another, filling UNIST with the spirit of spring. The Administrative Office plans to build on the success of ‘UNI-Blossom Week’ by introducing various communication programs throughout the seasons, aiming to cultivate a warm and inviting campus culture.
