UNIST College of Engineering has recently embarked on a new partnership with the Korean Nuclear Decommissioning Industrial Forum to establish a cooperative system for the development of the domestic nuclear-decommissioning industry.
The signing ceremony of the MoU between UNIST College of Engineering and the Korean Nuclear Decommissioning Industrial Forum took place in the conferencing room, located in the Engineering Building V, UNIST.
The agreement was promoted with the aim of self-reliance and advancement of domestic nuclear dismantling technology for old nuclear power plants. To this end, the two organizations decided to come up with measures to promote exchanges and cooperate, such as training professionals, jointly promoting related service projects and public relations projects.
Meanwhile, the ceremony has been attended by Dean Sung Youb Kim (College of Engineering, UNIST), Department Head In Cheol Bang (Department of Nuclear Engineering, UNIST), Professor Hee Reyoung Kim (Department of Nuclear Engineering, UNIST), President HyunSik Choi of Korean Nuclear Decommissioning Industrial Forum, and key officials from both organizations.
