UNIST has announced that the interview process for the ‘2021 Rolling Admission for Freshmen’ will be conducted virtually due to continued health and safety concerns around COVID-19.
The entire interview process will be conducted remotely, without meeting the applicants face-to-face. During the interview, each applicant will be given a task, which needs to be filmed and submitted, upon completion.
In view of the present situation with COVID-19, the application period has been also adjusted from Wednesday, September 23 to Monday, September 28, 2020. And thus, the application period for the 2021 Rolling Admission for Freshmen has been extended from four to six full days. All applications, including all required supporting documents, must be submitted either via online or registered mail. Due to circumstances surrounding COVID-19, no in-person submission will be accepted.
“UNIST has made the difficult decision to shift to virtual interviewing for the ‘2021 Rolling Admission for Freshmen in light of the continued threat of the novel coronavirus,” says President Yong Hoon Lee. “In these challenging times, we intend to provide fair education opportunities to all students who have faithfully tried to achieve the dream of becoming a scientist of the future.” He adds, “We made this decision so that those who are under treatment or in self-quarantine due to COVID-19 could also take part in.”
