On December 19, UNIST Graduate School of Technology and Innovation Management (MOT) held the 2025 MOT Innovation Forum & Homecoming Day at the Main Administration Building of UNIST, commemorating its 10th anniversary.
More than 100 participants—including alumni, current students, faculty members, and industry representatives—gathered to reflect on the past decade of achievements and discuss future directions for the program. The event highlighted MOT’s role in bridging advanced technologies with management strategy and business execution, while strengthening ties among alumni and industry partners.

The program opened with a 10th anniversary ceremony and a development fund donation presentation. UNIST President Chong Rae Park delivered congratulatory remarks, followed by a contribution ceremony in which alumni-founded companies—including manufacturing AI specialist InterX and SGR Tech—along with individual alumni collectively donated KRW 100 million to the UNIST Development Fund. The donation reflected alumni commitment to advancing their alma mater and supporting the continued translation of MOT education into real-world industrial impact.

The 2025 MOT Innovation Forum focused on changes in Korea’s industrial landscape. The keynote address was delivered by President Sanghoon Lee of the Korea Energy Agency, who spoke on ‘Korea’s Energy Transition and the Energy Industry,’ addressing structural shifts, policy trends, and future industry directions.
A panel discussion followed under the theme ‘Future-Oriented Perspectives on Korea’s Industrial Innovation.’ Panelists included President Sanghoon Lee of the Korea Energy Agency, President Junseok Kim of Seorabeol City Gas Co., Professor Young-Choon Kim of UNIST, Vice President of Technology Heecheon Lim at the Korea Hydrogen Industry Association, and Professor Han-Gyun Woo of Sogang University. The discussion was moderated by Young Rok Choi, Dean of the Graduate School of Technology & Innovation Management. The panel explored the role of technology management in energy transition and industrial innovation, drawing on practical experience.
The event concluded with the following session of the 2025 Homecoming Day: UNIST MOT—Together Let’s Rise, featuring alumni presentations on venture creation and corporate innovation, an awards ceremony recognizing distinguished alumni, and a startup mentoring program for current students.
