UNIST will begin recruiting new students for the 2022 admission. This year, the school will recruit a total of 440 students for early recruitment. This includes 430 students on a rolling basis and 10 students at regular admission. Also, by category, 410 students in science and engineering and 30 students in business administration will be selected.
The application filing period is from September 10 to September 14, 2021. During this period, applicants for regular admission, special talent screening, regional talent screening, and equal opportunity admission will be received.
An overall assessment for rolling admission to UNIST will be made based on document screening alone, or document screening and interview. The selection for regular admission, regional talent screening, and equal opportunity admission will be made based on document screening alone. The selection for special talent screening will be made based on document screening (60%) and interviews (40%).
Unlike in previous years, it has been decided that document screening should be weighed more heavily for the 2022 rolling admission. Besides, the 2022 rolling admission has abolished letters of recommendation in all screening processes, allowing anyone to freely apply.
The application filing period for the newly-established regular admission for students who achieve high scores on college entrance examinations begins December 30, 2021, and ends January 3, 2022.
