UNIST Rowing Club has won first-place medal with a first place finish on May 22nd in Busan Metropolitan City Mayor Cup National Rowing Competition. This event marked the club’s first competition since it was founded in 2013.
“The competition went really well and the athletes have done a really good job of making every outing count in making improvements,” said GunHa Kim (School of Natural Science), the leader of UNIST Rowing Club. “They have done a really good week of work here – concentrated, focused efforts that paid off this weekend.”
The 2016 Busan Metropolitan City Mayor Cup National Rowing Competition took place from the 21st to 22nd, for two days at West Nakdong River Rowing and Canoe Race Course.
A total of 7 universities partook in this event, including DGIST, Pukyong National University, Hankuk University of Foreign Studies, Korea Maritime and Ocean University, Handong Global University, and Republic of Korea Naval Academy (ROKNA).
