On October 25, UNIST held its annual Kyungdong Scholarship award presentation ceremony to recognize and reward students who have displayed outstanding academic achievement.
This year, the Kyungdong Scholarship Foundation has selected 5 deserving students as the recipients of the 2023 Kyungdong Scholarship. In recognition of their outstanding accomplishments, each scholarship recipient was presented with a certificate of recognition. The Kyungdong Scholarship includes a unique opportunity for the recipients to participate in an exchange program abroad for one or two semesters. Additionally, financial aid for textbooks will be provided to support their academic journey.
Expressing her gratitude, NaRim Han, one of the scholarship recipients, said, “I am deeply honored to be admitted to UNIST and to have been selected as a recipient of the 2023 Kyungdong Scholarship.” She added, “This scholarship is a remarkable opportunity for me to contribute to society and make a positivwe impact.”
Meanwhile, the Kyungdong Scholarship Foundation was established in 2007 as part of the corporate social responsibility initiatives of Kyungdong City Gas Co. Ltd., the distinguished energy company representing Ulsan city.
The ceremony has been attended by UNIST President Yong Hoon Lee, who also serves as the Chairman of the Kyungdong Scholarship Foundation. Esteemed guests included CEO Jae Ho Song of KyungDong City Gas Co. Ltd., Vice Chairperson Sung Yong Lee of Ulsan Metropolitan Council, and other distinguished individuals associated with the foundation.
