UNIST has announced that it would offer a cost of KRW 1,000 per meal for students who use on-campus cafeteria services, starting from January 2021.
This initiative has been taken in an effort to improve the quality of the food and dining atmosphere on campus. To that end, the school has raised the price of each meal from KRW 4,000 to KRW 5,000 for the purpose of improving food quality. However, the school will shoulder the extra cost in order to ease the cost burden on students.
The following two on-campus cafeterias have been selected for this initiative: the dormitory cafeteria, located on the 1st floor of Building 301, and the student cafeteria, located on the 1st floor of the Student Union. Students can use their student ID to get a discount of KRW 1,000 via a meal ticket kiosk machine.
