The Fourth Industrial Revolution Forum in Ulsan is scheduled to be be held at UNIST from September 13 to 14, 2017. This two-day event will bring together business, government, academic and civil society leaders from around the world to help shape global, regional and industry agendas.
Co-organized by the World Economic Forum (WEF), the forum aims to create new opportunities for employment, skills, regulations, sustainability, and trade by taking advantages of new technology and innovation.
“This forum be an opportunity to highlight the future of Ulsan, the hub of Korean manufacturing industry through the creation of employment, as well as the technological innovation and real-life examples,” says Professor Dong Sub Kim.
The overaching theme of the forum is to share and collaborate globally on opportunities for the future of production with a special emphasis on Employment & Skills, Smart Manufacturing and 3D Printing.
The event will feature a host of presentations on Fourth Industrial Revolution by internationally renowned guest speakers, as well as welcome remarks by Mayor Gi-hyeon Kim of UlsanMetropolitan City and congratulatory addresses by President Klaus Schwab of World Economic Forum and Minister Un Gyu Paik of Ministry of Trade, Industry and Energy.
The official language of the forum is English. However, for the convinience of international praticipants, simultaneous interpretation services will be provided in English and Korean for all sessions.
It will also include exhibitions on innovative technology, such as smart factory, Artificial Intelligence (AI), seawater battery, advanced robot, new and innovative renewable energy systems. Besides, the forum will also feature 3D Printing Gala in Ulsan in which more than 50 local 3D printing companies will also be present for exhibition.
