UNIST remains a global research heavyweight among the world’s top research-intensive institutions, including the Universities of Harvard, Oxford, Stanford, Princeton, Cambridge, as well as Caltech and MIT, according to a new report.
In a global comparison, research and teaching at UNIST in the discipline of environmental sciences is in an excellent position. This was based on the research evaluation tool, provided by Elsevier’s Scopus database. Each institution was measured by a wide range of metrics in SciVal, including Field-Weighted Citation Impact, Citation per Publication, as well as Publications in Top Journals Percentiles.
According to a recent report by Elsevier’s SciVal, UNIST’s research has been the second most frequently cited, just after the Caltech. Moreover, the report states that in terms of research quality, as measured by SciVal’s Publications in Top Journals Percentiles metric, UNIST has overtaken Caltech and now ranks first among the world’s top universities with which it is compared.
