On July 10, UNIST signed a Memorandum of Understanding (MOU) with Ulsan University Hospital (UUH), one of the best hospitals in Korea to pledge mutual support for one another in the pursuit of excellence in biomedical research and its application to human health.
The ceremony was attended by UUH President Hong-Rae Cho, UNIST President Moo Je Cho, Jae Sung Lee (Vice President of Academic Affairs, UNIST), Moo Young Jung (Vice President of Research, UNIST), Prof. Hyug-Moo Kwon (Dean of Admissions and Student Affairs, UNIST), and other representatives from UUH Biomedical Research Center.
The MOU was signed by President Cho, UNIST and President Cho, UUH to enhance the scientific and technical cooperation between the two institutions. The partnership between UNIST and UUH will take both their advantages so as to further advance biomedical science and to save more lives.
“Through this partnership, we hope to bring additional support to the city’s biomedical industry.” says UNIST President Cho.
Prior to the signing of MoU, both parties discussed and agreed to jointly fund collaborative research and innovation projects in the areas of human and biomedical engineering to strengthen overall research and innovation relationship between UUH and UNIST.
