[Welcome, First-Time at UNIST?] Student Clubs In-depth “Dan_B”

《Editor’s Note: The spread of COVID-19 has brought significant changes to college campuses worldwide, forcing virtually all universities in South Korea to switch to online education. UNIST has been conducting non-face-to-face lectures since the first semester of 2020. However, with the recent decline in cases, many expect that campus life will soon return to normal. In order to help new students adapt to university life, the UNIST News Center and the Student Affairs Team plan to produce the ‘Welcome, First-Time at UNIST?’ series.》

Dan_B, a student volunteer group at UNIST is filling the campus life with various activities.

We are Dan_B is the only student volunteer club at UNIST!

The word ‘Dan_B‘ refers as welcome rain that falls after a prolonged spell of drought. As the word suggests, we become an organization, doing volunteer work that the world welcomes.

‘Dan_B‘ enjoys working with volunteers and cultivating the virtues required for scientists. Through fun volunteering work, we also try to learn how to live together with others without any prejudice and discrimination. In doing so, Dan_B tries to be a proud ‘UNIStar’.

Due to COVID-19, it has been difficult to carry out volunteering work since 2020. Despite such difficulties, Dan_B has been involved in various volunteering work. Below are some of those volunteering activities:

Dan-B encourages volunteers to participate freely. Volunteer work is also recognized as if taking a mandatory Leadership Program courses. Therefore, is is less burdensome to work with Dan_B for personal volunteer hours. Of course, if you need additional volunteer work hours, you may also contact other organizations for more volunteering activities. Based on this direction, we have developed the ability to do a lot of volunteer work together to fill each other’s shortcomings.

We are surrounded by people every day. In this process, we need to respect and consider each other. Dan_B learns to understand and be with each other while working with its members. In this process, a respectful and considerate attitude is needed. By learning how to understand and be with each other and meeting many people, Dan_B and its members can grow, shape the direction of their lives, and move forward.

Those who are interested and passionate about volunteering, those who can volunteer with responsibility, those who can harm volunteer work together, and students who can enjoy volunteer work together, please pay attention to Dan_B at any time.
