UNIST has been recognized as an outstanding institution for its partnership-based integrity education program with the Anti-Corruption and Civil Rights Commission (ACRC) and was awarded an institutional commendation on January 7, 2026.
This commendation is granted to organizations that actively support integrity and ethical management education and demonstrate meaningful contributions to fostering a strong culture of integrity both within and beyond their institutions.
UNIST earned high marks for encouraging voluntary participation among its members through a range of creative and accessible initiatives. In particular, the General Affairs Team led integrity-focused campaigns, such as ‘UNI-Blossom’ and ‘Sippin’ Sunny,’ which were designed to convey ethical values in a friendly and relatable way. The team also published and distributed a casebook on the Act on the Prevention of Conflicts of Interest, offering practical guidance to support integrity in daily practice.
Additional efforts included the integrity-themed lectures for students, a Taekwondo performance centered on ethical values, and the production and distribution of stickers featuring UNIST’s official character. Together, these efforts were noted for effectively combining meaning with engagement, helping position integrity as a shared value in everyday campus life.
“Receiving this commendation reflects the collective efforts of our members to embrace integrity in a natural and accessible way,” said Dean RyoungEun Kim of General Administration at UNIST. “We will continue to support open communication and sustained initiatives to ensure that ethical practices remain an integral part of our university culture.”
