A recent research team, led by Professor Jaephil Choi in the School of Energy and Chemical Engineering at UNIST, has introduced a novel EV battery technology that is more energy-efficient than gasoline-powered engines. The new technology enables drivers to simply have their battery packs replaced instead of charging them, which ultimately troubleshoot slow charging problem with the existing EV batteries. It also provides lightweight, high-energy density power sources with little risk of catching fire or explosion. |
