An academic conference on Artificial Intelligence (AI), entitled the ‘2022 UNIST AI Technology Open Workshop‘ is scheduled to be held on Thursday, October 6, 2022. The purpose of this conference is to promote research in AI and foster scientific exchange between researchers, practitioners, scientists, students, and engineers across the entirety of AI and its affiliated disciplines.
The workshop will present leading voices from the technical, business, and academic communities who will discuss insights on the current and future trends in AI. It will also provide invaluable opportunities for the scientific community to explore the latest research findings of UNIST.
The workshop consists of keynote speeches by two invited international scholars, plenary sessions, featuring AI experts from UNIST, special lectures by and panel discussions. The invited keynote speakers are: Professor Jun-Yan Zhu from the Carnegie Mellon University, a global university known for its world-class AI programs and Dr. Ming-Yu Liu, Senior Director of Research at NVIDIA.
There will be also two invited special lectures by Dr. Soonmin Bae (Head of AI2X Lab, KT) under the topic of ‘Beyond AI: Digital Transformation Enabler’ and Dr. Sangdoo Yun (Lead Research Scientist, Naver AI Lab) under the topic of ‘Naver AI’s Research: Towards Strong and Robust Deep Models.’ This will be followed by the panel discussion under the topic of ‘The perspective of AI and the Role of Academia.’
The workshop, which will be delivered in hybrid mode, will be conducted in English. It is also a workshop open to anyone, including faculty and students from universities, both at home and abroad, as well as participants from industries, local governments, and research institutes.
